May 9, 2014., at the invitation of the executive power of Baku, the Embassy of Ukraine to the Republic of Azerbaijan participated in the commemorating events dedicated to the 69th anniversary of the Victory in the Second World War. Ceremonies, which were arranged by the Azerbaijani side, held in the Glory park, Narimanov district,  Baku. During the ceremony of laying wreaths and flowers at the Memorial of Glory soldiers who died during the Second World War, doyen , Belarus Ambassador to the Republic of Azerbaijan N.E.Patskevich addressed welcome speech to veterans on behalf of the diplomatic corps accredited in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

On the same day, the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Azerbaijan took part in the wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honors (Baku city) , on the occasion of 91th anniversary of his birth.
