January 25, 2012, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Azerbaijan A.Mischenko met with the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan K.Heydarov.

During the meeting the sides discussed state and prospects of relations between Ukraine and the Republic of Azerbaijan in the sphere of preventing emergencies and disasters.

In addition, with a view to further deepening of bilateral relations in this field, reached a preliminary agreement to hold in the first quarter of this year in Kiev the next meeting of the Joint Ukrainian-Azerbaijani commission on emergency prevention and to sign the Plan of joint actions between the ministries for 2012-2014 period.
