During the meeting, the sides expressed satisfaction with the current level of relations and regular exchange of high-level visits between Ukraine and Azerbaijan. The sides also stressed the importance of further mutual support to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of both countries.

Ambassador Olexandr Mischenko stated that he did his best to contribute to strengthening of bilateral relations between Ukraine and Azerbaijan during his tenure and expressed his hope that the sincere character of the relations would continue and the gained practice would serve to the interests of both states and peoples. Olexandr Mischenko wished success to the Government of Azerbaijan in its policy to further stability and progress of Azerbaijan.

Minister Elmar Mammadyarov thanked Ambassador Olexandr Mischenko for his contributions to the development of relations between the two countries and wished him every success in his future diplomatic service.
