For the second year in a row, the Days of Ukrainian Literature have been held in Azerbaijan as part of the project “New Horizons of Ukrainian Culture”, implemented on the initiative and with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in Azerbaijan.

On December 8–9, within the framework of this cultural project, ceremonial presentations of two publications took place: the book “Balabalačka” in Ukrainian and Azerbaijani by author Nadiya Kyrei, presented at the Ali and Nino bookstore in Baku, as well as the book “Zarifa and Heydar Aliyev. A Love That Lasted a Lifetime” in Ukrainian by Elmira Akhundova, presented at the Baku International Multiculturalism Center.

This year, the events were attended by Ravan Hasanov, Executive Director of the Baku International Multiculturalism Center; representatives of the Writers’ Union of Azerbaijan; Hikmet Javad, Head of the United Diaspora of Azerbaijanis in Ukraine; members and heads of Ukrainian communities and organizations Yuriy Osadchenko, Tamila Musayeva, and Lidiya Aliyeva-Shestak; as well as the team of the Ukrainian Center in Baku.

Ambassador of Ukraine Yuriy Husyev emphasized that this project is of great importance for the development of friendship and cultural cooperation between Ukraine and Azerbaijan, promotes mutual understanding, and contributes to strengthening the strategic partnership between our two countries.
