According to him, Ukraine is a reliable transit country for energy and Azerbaijan is a reliable transporter of energy.

"Energy cooperation is one of the priorities. Our countries have all conditions to unite efforts in the transportation of hydrocarbons to Europe," the President said.

According to Viktor Yanukovych, cooperation in this and other issues will strengthen the position of the two states in the Black Sea and Caspian region.

In his turn, the President of Azerbaijan stressed that there were a lot of directions for active cooperation between Ukraine and Azerbaijan in fuel and energy complex.

"Azerbaijan as producer of energy resources and Ukraine as consumer and transit country play an important role in energy security of many countries. Cooperation in Black Sea and Caspian region, including energy sphere, is the result of our joint activity," Ilham Aliyev said.
