The handover ceremony took place with the participation of Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Andriy Danyk and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Azerbaijan Yuriy Husyev.

“We thank all emergency responders for saving people’s lives, for providing warmth, and for helping restore light. This assistance from caring individuals and organizations in Azerbaijan, for which we are deeply grateful, was mobilized within the framework of the global initiative of Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha, ‘Warmth for Ukraine,’ and represents another important manifestation of solidarity with Ukraine in these difficult times,” the Ambassador emphasized.

In turn, the Head of the State Emergency Service expressed sincere gratitude to the people and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan for their support and assistance provided to Ukraine during the challenging period of the full-scale war.

“We are sincerely thankful for this timely and much-needed assistance. The equipment provided is of critical importance for the daily work of our rescuers and will help us protect the lives and safety of citizens even more effectively,” Andriy Danyk noted.

Additionally, the parties discussed possible areas for further cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Azerbaijan in the field of civil protection and emergency response.
