On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of UNESCO’s founding, the Embassy of Ukraine in Azerbaijan presented a special exhibition at the
Ukrainian Center in Baku dedicated to Ukraine’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites currently endangered by Russian aggression.
We were pleased to welcome Ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Azerbaijan, as well as our Azerbaijani friends and partners.
The exhibition highlighted nine unique cultural and natural sites of Ukraine — the heritage of all humankind — which are now under serious threat due to Russia’s deliberate attacks on civilian and cultural infrastructure. With this event, we aimed to strengthen international support for efforts to preserve these priceless monuments.
During the event, we also joined the initiative ALLIES OF STEEL: Fundraiser for Lifesaving Ground Robots, which helps save lives on the frontline by providing Ukrainian defenders with ground robotic systems for evacuation and demining.
We sincerely thank all our guests for their solidarity with Ukraine, for their commitment to protecting the world’s cultural heritage, and for supporting initiatives aimed at preserving human life in the face of ongoing aggression.
Together, we defend culture.
Together, we defend humanity.
Together, we bring Ukraine’s victory closer.
