The Head of the Ukrainian State expressed gratitude for the recent energy support package, which included, among other things, generators and transformers. The President of Ukraine briefed his counterpart on the overall situation in the energy system and the consequences of Russian strikes on infrastructure facilities.

The leaders discussed the development of bilateral relations and the implementation of projects in the energy sector. Azerbaijan is interested in these initiatives and is ready to deepen cooperation. Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Ilham Aliyev agreed that their teams would work through all the necessary issues.

Particular attention was paid to the negotiation process aimed at achieving peace. The Head of State emphasized that Ukraine always constructively supports efforts that can help achieve a just peace. The only reason the war is still ongoing is Russia’s unwillingness to end it.
