Ambassador Yuriy Husyev thanked Azerbaijan for its support and assistance to Ukraine and expressed special gratitude for the program of rest and rehabilitation for Ukrainian children, launched in 2022. The program has already helped hundreds of Ukrainian children restore their physical and psychological well-being during Russia’s full-scale invasion, thanks to the warm hospitality and brotherly support of Azerbaijan.

The parties discussed the continuation and expansion of the program in 2026.

Particular attention was paid to the possibility of exchanging experience in establishing inclusive children’s centers, in particular in the city of Irpin, based on one of the facilities whose construction is planned to be implemented with the support of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on systematic interaction and coordination in the field of social protection.
