As a result of Russian missile strikes on the capital, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, 16 people were killed and 42 others were injured. Twelve people were rescued.
Russian terrorism once again takes the lives of innocent people, destroys civilian infrastructure, and spreads fear among the civilian population.
We express our sincere and deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those killed. Russia must be held fully and justly accountable for every innocent life it has taken and for all crimes committed.
Today, August 21, as a sign of mourning, the State Flags of Ukraine have been lowered to half-mast at the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Azerbaijan, and an electronic Book of Condolences has been opened.
Condolences to the families of the victims and words of support to the Ukrainian people may be sent to the Embassy’s official email address: [email protected].
