Today, Ambassador of Ukraine Yuriy Husyev held a working meeting with Anar Guliyev, Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of Ukrainian-Azerbaijani cooperation in the field of urban development and the reconstruction of Ukraine.

Views were exchanged on the preparation and organization of the 13th World Urban Forum under the auspices of UN-HABITAT (WUF13), which will take place in Baku in May 2026.

Particular attention was paid to the prospects for implementing joint infrastructure and humanitarian projects, including the construction of social facilities in the city of Irpin.

Ambassador Yuriy Husyev expressed sincere gratitude to the Republic of Azerbaijan for its consistent support and practical assistance to Ukraine, in particular in the reconstruction projects in Irpin and the supply of energy equipment for the restoration of Ukraine’s energy system.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on further joint steps to deepen cooperation.
