The International Ivan Franko Foundation has announced the start of accepting scholarly works for its prestigious international award — the International Ivan Franko Prize — in 2026.

This honorary distinction is awarded to scholars for significant achievements in the fields of social sciences, humanities, and Ukrainian studies.

Submitted works must be of international significance and based on scholarly analysis of historical or contemporary processes in Ukraine.

In 2026, applications will be accepted from 15 January to 1 March through the Foundation’s official website.

Over the ten-year history of the Prize, more than 145 scholars from 13 countries have applied, contributing to the integration of Ukrainian scholarship into the global academic community.
