These are children of active servicemen, fallen Heroes, and our defenders who are currently held in Russian captivity. They will spend time in the picturesque city of Quba — surrounded by mountains, unique nature, care, and warmth.
This trip was organized by the Embassy with the support of patrons and charitable donors within the framework of the initiative of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha and his wife Tetiana Sybiha, in cooperation with the Association of Spouses of Ukrainian Diplomats.
At Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku, the children were welcomed by the team of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Azerbaijan together with the head of the Azerbaijan–Ukraine interparliamentary relations working group and member of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, Alibala Maharramzade.
Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, 594 children from Ukraine have already undergone rehabilitation and recreation programs and experienced Azerbaijani hospitality, support, and solidarity.
We express our sincere gratitude to the leadership and people of Azerbaijan, as well as to all donors, volunteers, and patrons who are helping Ukrainian children during this difficult time. This is a true manifestation of humanity and friendship between our peoples.
