Today, the team of the Embassy of Ukraine, led by Ambassador Yuriy Husyev, welcomed a new group of Ukrainian children to Azerbaijan — 30 boys and girls from the Sumy, Kirovohrad, and Kherson regions, who live under daily Russian terrorist shelling.
Thanks to the support of Azerbaijani partners, the children will have the opportunity to rest, undergo a rehabilitation program, and visit some of the most picturesque places in the Republic of Azerbaijan — Baku, Gabala, and Sheki — known for their historical heritage, natural beauty, clean air, and hospitality.
Together with Ukrainian diplomats, the children were greeted by Deputy Head of the Sosial Xidmətlər Agentliyi Zaur Ibrahimov, as well as representatives of local media.
Ambassador of Ukraine Yuriy Husyev expressed gratitude to the leadership and people of Azerbaijan for their solidarity, support, and care for Ukrainian children during these difficult times:
“We highly appreciate the assistance and support of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The program of recovery and rehabilitation for our Ukrainian children during this terrible war is truly special and will forever remain in people’s hearts!”
The Ambassador also thanked his colleague, Ambassador Paun Rogovei, the team of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Moldova, public and charitable organizations, and everyone involved in the implementation of this humanitarian initiative.
Heartfelt gratitude to everyone who gives our children peaceful days, love, care, and hope!
