During a meeting with Jeyhun Jalilov, the Authorized Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the parties discussed prospects for strengthening interregional ties, humanitarian cooperation, and expanding collaboration in the fields of culture, education, and science.

The Ambassador of Ukraine expressed his gratitude for the support and significant assistance that Ukraine has received from the Republic of Azerbaijan since the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion.

The parties agreed on concrete next steps to further develop interregional cooperation across various sectors.

During his visit to Nakhchivan, Ambassador Yuriy Husyev paid tribute to the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev. He laid flowers at the monument to Heydar Aliyev and visited the Heydar Aliyev Museum, where the National Leader, who was born and lived in Nakhchivan for many years, is commemorated. The Ambassador also became acquainted with the rich historical and cultural heritage of the autonomous republic.

This working visit marked another important step toward deepening partnership and cooperation between the regions of Ukraine and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
