Today in Baku, Ambassador of Ukraine Yuriy Husyev is participating in the 13th Global Baku Forum — an important international platform for discussing global challenges and the future of the world order.

Traditionally, the Forum was opened by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. Welcoming remarks were also delivered by the Co-Chair of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, President of Latvia in 1999–2007, Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga.

This year’s theme — “Bridging Divides in a World in Transition” — is particularly relevant at a time when the international community is facing unprecedented challenges, including wars, security crises, and energy and geopolitical transformations.

During the speeches of distinguished participants, words of support for Ukraine were voiced on multiple occasions, along with clear messages regarding threats to international law, global security, and stability. Such expressions of solidarity are extremely important in the context of Russia’s ongoing aggression against Ukraine.

The Forum in Baku traditionally brings together current and former heads of state and government, diplomats, scholars, and thought leaders from around the world, creating a space for open dialogue on the future of international cooperation and shared responsibility for shaping a just and secure world order.

Ambassador of Ukraine Yuriy Husyev sincerely congratulated Rovshan Muradov and the entire team of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center (#NGIC) on the successful opening of this truly important event.

The Ambassador noted that such platforms for dialogue are more necessary than ever today, as only through cooperation, solidarity, and responsible leadership can global challenges be overcome and progress be made toward a just peace.
