The parties discussed the outcomes of the Ukrainian Higher Education Institutions Fair, which was successfully held in Baku at the beginning of July, as well as the key aspects of the 2026 admission campaign to Ukrainian universities.

Particular attention was paid to the further development of the Ukrainian-Azerbaijani partnership in the field of education. Today, Azerbaijan ranks second among the countries with the largest number of international students in Ukraine. More than 5,000 Azerbaijani citizens are studying at Ukrainian higher education institutions, pursuing degrees in such fields as management, law, economics, information technology, transport, and medicine.

Ukraine and Azerbaijan share a long-standing tradition of educational cooperation. Many Azerbaijani graduates of Ukrainian universities have gone on to build successful careers as public officials, doctors, engineers, entrepreneurs, and researchers. Preserving and strengthening these ties is therefore essential, creating new opportunities for future generations in both countries.

Ukrainian universities remain open to international students, offering high-quality and modern academic programmes, international academic mobility, opportunities to obtain dual degrees, and convenient digital admission services.
